Offense

To coach lacrosse offense, you must understand how to create scoring opportunities for your players. Teaching fundamentals such as passing, catching, shooting, and dodging can help develop your players into offensive threats.

Once your players have honed these skills, you can begin to implement offensive plays and formations.

Defense

Coaching lacrosse defense requires a strong understanding of how to stop your opponent from scoring. Using a combination of practice, formation, and strategy, coaches can develop their defense into an immovable force.

Coaches must teach the fundamentals such as stick skills and footwork before implementing defensive strategies and tactics.

“Someone somewhere coached you. Inspired you. Made you better at something. You can be that inspiration for someone else just by sharing a little of yourself. The more you give, the more you get.”

– Kevin Meany, Lacrosse Coach
